Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance Jay Library

Mondays & Thursdays 10-11am, Feb. 2nd - March 30th

Easy to learn and fun to practice! Reduce the risk and fear of falling. Improve balance and posture. Promote blood flow, muscular strength, and flexibility. Increase energy levels, Lower high blood pressure. Relieve stress. Classes are offered at no cost.

Early Literacy Storytime First Fridays at 10:30 am

Storytime makes learning fun! Early Literacy Storytime helps young children build important early skills through books, rhymes, music, and engaging activities. Join us every first Friday for a special storytime designed for children ages 0–5 and their caregivers.

Traditional Basket Weaving - Feb. 26th 5:30-8pm

Learn the art of traditional basketweaving from a UKB (United Keetoowah Band) Tradition Keeper. Participants will be guided through time-honored techniques and learn about the cultural significance of basketry in Keetoowah traditions. Supplies are limited and registration is required.

Tuesday, Feb. 24th 4-5pm

Travel to China without leaving the library! Participants will explore Chinese snacks and teas, the Lunar New Year, and the Chinese zodiac through tasting and creative, cultural activities. Ages 6-14.

Reading Challenges

This January and February, we are partnering with Steps to Literacy for our winter reading challenge, which features Beanstack's very own mascot, Benny the Bean! Earn fun, Benny-themed badges for logging your reading and completing activities.

As you earn badges, you'll earn tickets that you can use to enter to win one of two prize packs!

This year introduced a new reading challenge that celebrates your freedom to read your way. Whether you turn pages, swipe a screen, or listen on the go, it’s all about enjoying books on your own terms. Join the Read It Your Way year-long challenge and make this your year of reading—your way.
